OSU Softball Charity Classic

The premier event on Ohio State's fall schedule every year, the Ohio Collegiate Charity Classic started in 2001 and ran for 19 consecutive years before the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Like in past years, the event will occur exclusively at Buckeye Field. Action gets underway on Saturday at 10 a.m. and continues with a total of five games on both Saturday and Sunday.
Division I, II and III teams from Ohio will be making the trip to Columbus, making it one of the largest showcases of softball at levels in the state. Admission is a $5 donation that will be collected upon entry at Buckeye Field.
The Ohio Collegiate Charity Classic has raised over $250,000, making it one of the largest fundraisers for Breast Cancer Awareness month in central Ohio. Proceeds benefit The Buckeye Cruise for Cancer Research Fund at the OSUCCC-James.

The JR Memorial Cruise for a Cure at Indian Lake, Ohio raises funds to fight cancer in the name of the late Jerry Richardson. Jerry was a long-time resident of the Indian lake community and was taken far too soon in 2013 due to a malignant brain tumor. Since then a team of Indian Lake residents and volunteers have teamed with Lisa Cisco and Chris Quinn of the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer to try and help find a cure for this awful disease.
